For
starters, Interstate 5 is nowhere near here! You cannot drive
to your favorite surf spot, throw on a wetsuit and paddle out.

You
need boats, airlplanes, all terrain vehicles, camping
equipment, fuel, guns, whiskey, chainsaw - The list is endless
if you want to be fully prepared for what can and will
happen in Alaska's wilderness. Sure, some of the communities
in Alaska have a local wave that breaks but these waves
do not even come close to what Alaska has to offer, why
would you want to come to Alaska to surf a crowded local
wave when there are thousands of miles of coastline yet
to be explored!! Alaska has more surfable coastline than
all of the United States combined and there is a small
group of Alaskans whose mission is to discover the best
waves this state has to offer.

This
gang of hardcores posses all the equipment necessary to
embark on any Alaskan surfing mission from boats, and planes,
to all terrain vehicles. Members of Alaskasurfing.com also
have an acute awareness of Alaska's wilderness including
safe camping practices in bear country, weather hazards,
and swell forcasting. Guides are also trained for medical
emergencies and carry rescue and medical equipment during
all adventures. |

In
Alaska, you ALWAYS carry your "Big Gun" to your favorite
surf spot.

You
truly do need a local Alaskan surfer to take you to the goods
and insure your safety in Alaska's wilderness. You will also
need the combined resources of Alaska surfing members to even
reach the untouched surf and to live the surfer dream of shredding
